Global Business Innovation Programme - Canada

Following our success working with the Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP) as part of Innovate UK EDGE Taiwan, we have been successful in applying to the GBIP Canada programme! We are looking to form productive partnerships with organisations working within the Canadian offshore wind industry.

Our aims are to test and develop our ecological enhancing scour protection ExoReef products for the North American marine environment. Offshore wind is a fledgling industry in Canada, however plans are in place to add 30GW of offshore wind capacity as part of its strategy to reach net zero by 2050. This provides us with a unique opportunity to build partnerships and become a key part of this rapidly growing offshore wind industry in Canada.

Our ExoReefs can be applied around turbine foundations as well as long cable routes, providing effective scour protection and supporting the colonisation of a wide range of species, helping to achieve biodiversity net gain for offshore wind projects.
