Contributing to discussions at Global Offshore Wind Conference 2024, Manchester

Managing Director William Coulet discussing our Nature Inclusive Solutions

Last week, the Exo team were fortunate enough to be exhibiting at the Global Offshore Wind (GOW) Conference in Manchester, held at Manchester Central Convention Complex on the 18th and 19th of June.

Exhibiting as part of ORE catapult’s pavilion alongside many other innovative companies working in the Offshore Wind sector, the event was a fantastic opportunity for continuing conversations around the future of the offshore wind sector.

Discussing recent breakthroughs for increasing efficiencies of renewable technology, the opportunities for enhancing biodiversity as part of offshore wind expansion, and highlighting the challenges which lay ahead are crucial to ensuring a sustainable model for the future of offshore wind energy.

As well as exhibiting some of our latest innovative designs, Exo Engineering’s Will Melhuish delivered a presentation as part of the OWGP-organised “Pitch and Brew” session. This informative talk enabled us to provide insights into the Nature Based Solutions that Exo Engineering can provide, building habitats into crucial offshore wind infrastructure such as scour protection. Also know as Ecological Engineering, it is crucial that we consider our impacts on nature as we design the infrastructure of the future, ensuring that we leave space for nature to thrive whilst meeting our own human needs.

We want to thank RenewableUK for organising such a fantastic event, ORE Catapult for enabling us to exhibit alongside them at their stand, and to everyone who popped down to our stand to speak with us! If you’d like to find out more about how our solutions can help your project to succeed, we’d love to hear from you. Get in contact here.
