Concrete Society 2022 Regional Awards

At the end of February, Exo Engineering was invited to attend the Concrete Society 2022 Regional Awards for Devon and Cornwall ceremony and charity lunch. This event celebrates innovative developments and applications of concrete in the region. Exo has taken part in the Newlyn Coastal Research and Development Project as a supplier of nature inclusive rock armour solutions that have been deployed at breakwater. This project won the award in the sustainable category. Our ExoRock products that we provided are made up of over 90% recycled materials and are designed to facilitate bio-colonisation, increasing biodiversity in the intertidal environment.

The award helps to raise the awareness of these nature based solutions and their efficiency in addressing hard engineering problems and celebrating the collaboration between suppliers, contractors, and the Environment Agency. We are excited to see this project progress and influence future installations to bring nature inclusive design into the mainstream.
